About Australian Community Dawah Centre (ACDC)

Welcome to the Australian Community Dawah Centre (ACDC)

The Australian Community Dawah Centre (ACDC) is a registered non-profit organisation dedicated to fostering community engagement and advancing Islamic Dawah.

Our History

Founded in 1996, ACDC has a rich history of service to the community. From its inception, ACDC has been committed to promoting knowledge and community well-being. Over the years, we have offered a wide range of programs and initiatives:

  • Educational Endeavors: We have conducted fortnightly Quran Daras, presented authentic Hadith, provided Arabic language classes, and even offered martial arts instruction.
  • Annual Conferences: The highlight of our calendar is the annual “Road to Jannah” conference, a flagship event that brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds to engage in meaningful dialogue and foster unity.
  • Health Initiatives: ACDC has organised health seminars, raised awareness about domestic violence, and implemented youth programs. We have also played a significant role in promoting community well-being through events like the Peace Conference and the Muslim Marriage Conference.
  • Philanthropy: ACDC has actively participated in humanitarian efforts by sponsoring projects such as the provision of fresh drinking water in Somalia, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. We have also raised essential funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
  • Disaster Relief: During times of crisis, ACDC has stepped up to support those in need. We have sponsored food vouchers, clothing, blankets, and sheets for disaster-stricken areas. Our contributions, including funds, have reached as far as Fiji (floods), Victoria (fire victims), and Pakistan (floods).
  • Blood Donation: Our members actively contribute to the Australian Red Cross by donating blood, a vital service that saves lives.
  • Health Awareness: ACDC collaborates with Heart West to raise awareness about heart, lung, and respiratory diseases, as well as sleep disorders. We have also partnered with Hearty Trading to provide heart echo tests conducted by qualified technicians.
  • Community Services: Once our dedicated center is established, we plan to offer Justice of the Peace (JP) services and counseling services to better serve the community.
  • Government Engagement: ACDC has been recognised by the state government, with our representatives invited to speak on topics such as youth development, drug abuse, intoxication, and self-injection rooms.

Our Vision for the Future

As we look ahead, our dream is to create a vibrant center that will be open to all Australian citizens. This center will provide a hub for community engagement and a wide array of services to enrich the lives of our fellow citizens.
